Parent Council

St John Vianney Parent Council work together, with the school, to support developments and resources.  The main focus for the Parent Council has always been about raising funds.

Our Parent Council has significantly invested in our school through extra curricular events and in Learning and Teaching, having a positive impact on every pupil, staff member and parent/carers.

Please see  the latest school newsletter for the most up to date information including expenditure and recent events, especially around technology and our playgrounds.  Throughout that last few years, the Parent Council have also supported Fun Days and provided ice cream for children during the summer term.  As has historically happened, the Parent Council also fund the P7 Leavers dance. All of this would not happen without the support of the parents and children who have attended our Christmas Fairs and Easter Fairs.  The money raised at these have been phenomenal.

The Parent Council is fairly small and always requires new members.  The group only meet once a term.  Lots of organising is done by email and text.  Members are busy, like you, but manage to free up some time to support their children’s school.  You can do it too. If you haven’t already, please ‘join’ the St John Vianney Parent Council facebook page where details of meetings and events are always  posted.

You can also contact the Chairperson, Caroline Blackstock, through the school or via email :   parentcouncilsjv@gmail.com
